In November 1887, restaurateur Carl Kamp made a dream come true. The Hotel Kamp was born, offering a country on the threshold of independence a taste of great European cities, luxury and refinement like nowhere else, a level of service hard to imagine. The Hotel Kamp became an integral part of Finnish history, blending eastern and western Europe with art, politics and business life. Today, after faithful restoration, the Hotel Kamp takes its place once again in the heart of Helsinki - as genuine and elegant as in the past - an experience to delight all the senses. Many historically important decisions were made inside these walls. The luxurious hotel rooms have welcomed royalties, presidents and big artists as well as the business men already in the early 19th century.
